ALLEN JUDD
Allen Judd moved to Atlanta in December of 1965 after serving in the United States Marine Corps. After enjoying Parris Island and advanced combat training, the majority of his more than 4 years on active duty with the Marines was spent playing Tuba in the US Marine Band in Washington, D.C. and Quantico, VA. He was a member of Atlanta Musician’s Union No.148.

He is a retired Corporate and International banker who worked with the First National Bank of Atlanta (now Wachovia) and the C&S National Bank (now Bank of America). During his long banking career he traveled extensively to the Asia/Pacific Region and throughout the eastern half of the USA. He serves on several non-profit boards and has assisted several universities in their development and fund raising needs to include the Sam Nunn School at Georgia Tech and the State University of West Georgia. He continues to be active in business, non-profit organizations and economic development. His firm, Centric Capital Group, LLC, is associated with the Georgia Economic Developers Association and the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce.

In 2003 Allen began a process that has helped take us to the Village of Stone Mountain and the Georgia Heritage Music Hall Project. He became interested in reconnecting with the performance music business and began to look for opportunities to increase the musical performance opportunities for Georgia’s world-class music performers. The linking of Georgia’s Musical Heritage with the promotion of increased quality of life and economic development throughout Georgia’s historically significant communities is a winner for all of us.

Allen believes the Georgia Heritage Music Hall is “a best-fit” facilitator for the development and presentation of affordable Georgia heritage musical entertainment for the people of Georgia and our many visitors from America and around the world.

ROCKY BALL
Rocky Ball is the owner and sole proprietor of Rocky Ball Art & Music. The Art side (ArtWorks Graphics) features a design and illustration studio specializing in Corporate Identity Design, Web Design, Marketing Collateral Design, and Printed Apparel Design. The Music side represents a continued focus on musical entertainment and production management. He has performed for over 30 years as a professional banjo player and now leads and is the managing partner of the South’s longest running and most prominent jazz band, the Ruby Red’s Band.

Mr. Ball hails from Thunderbolt, Georgia, a small shrimping community near Savannah. He attended both Georgia Southern University and Georgia State University where he majored in Commercial Art. He began his professional music career in 1974 at Six Flags Over Georgia where he created, developed, and lead the Raz’Mataz Dixieland Jazz Band, a group of talented young musicians that became ambassadors of Six Flags and served as entertainment representatives for the amusement park through public performances throughout metropolitan Atlanta.

Rocky’s background includes 5 years as the president of RMT Productions, an independent production firm creating and managing theme park entertainment for such prominent clients as Dorney Park in Allentown, PA, Elitch Gardens in Denver, CO and Stone Mountain Park in Atlanta, GA. Additionally, he served for 9 years as the Director of Entertainment at Kennywood and Idlewild Parks in Pittsburgh, PA where he produced over 40 original musical productions, managing all aspects of the productions including auditioning and maintaining performance talent, sound and lighting design, soundtrack recording production, show development and music arranging.

Additionally, Rocky, with musical partners, owned and operated Fanny Moon’s Beer Hall in Underground Atlanta between 1992 and 1996, an establishment that featured New Orleans Jazz, Gut-bucket Blues and Mojo Singin’ Music. Rocky has also served as a technical analyst at Turner Broadcasting and the Kinko’s Corporation. More recently Mr. Ball has combined his eye for art, his expertise in computer technology and his musical background by producing commercial video for music clients in Atlanta.

Recognizing a void in the music and entertainment community with regard to our musical legacy and the variety of musical styles that are under-represented, Rocky has joined with retired international banker Allen Judd to create, promote and direct The Georgia Heritage Music Hall in the Village of Stone Mountain. The Music Hall will feature Georgia’s rich musical heritage to live audiences and through Broadcast Television and Web Streaming.
