NON-PROFIT FOUNDATION
One of the key factors in our plan to create a working, self-sustaining, successful venue is to both lower our overhead and debt service and also create a community connection. We plan to do that by creating an oversight authority whereby the building, it's rehab, contents, and equipment can be funded through a non-profit foundation. The foundation will allow interested corporations and individuals to contribute tax-deductible money, donations, or in-kind gifts in order to create a long-term repository for education and the greater good of the community.
This organization, the Georgia Heritage Music Foundation, Inc., will connect to the community of Tucker, DeKalb and surrounding counties, Atlanta, and the state at large by sponsoring an educational component. The educational component will allow the Music Hall to use its assets to preserve Georgia's rich musical and historical heritage through archives, in-school live performances, field trips, Internet delivered video content and downloadable curriculum. This curriculum will synchronize with the county school systems throughout Metro Atlanta.
If you are interested in helping, either as a donor or a volunteer, to create a place where Georgia musicians can play Georgia music and preserve that music for generations to come, please visit the link below for details on how you can help right here on our web site.
