The Peachtree Strutters, a New Orleans Jazz band, was formed in 1954 at Clark-Atlanta University under the direction of the late Professor Wayman Carver. They continue to play today, led by veteran Atlanta musician and vocalist Allen Murphy. They are one of hundreds of great bands that can be seen regularly at the Georgia Heritage Music Hall.
